Free Mother's Day Poems

A mother's love determines how
We love ourselves and others.
There is no sky we'll ever see
Not lit by that first love.

Stripped of love, the universe
Would drive us mad with pain;
But we are born into a world
That greets our cries with joy.

How much I owe you for the kiss
That told me who I was!
The greatest gift--a love of life--
Lay laughing in your eyes.

Because of you my world still has
The soft grace of your smile;
And every wind of fortune bears
The scent of your caress.

Free Mothers Day Poems

You can see it in their eyes,in tender hugs and long good-byes,a love that only moms and daughters know. You can see it in their smiles, through passing years and changing styles,a friendship that continually seems to grow. You can see it in their lives, the joy each one of them derives,in just knowing that the other one is there...To care and to understand, lend an ear or hold a hand, and to celebrate the memories they share. Sorce : http://freebiesandstuff.freeyellow.com/mothers_day/poems/Our mother is the sweetest andMost delicate of all.She knows more of paradiseThan angels can recall. She's not only beautifulBut passionately young,Playful as a kid, yet wiseAs one who has lived long. Her love is like the rush of life,A bubbling, laughing springThat runs through all like liquid lightAnd makes the mountains sing.Source : http://www.funmunch.com/events/mothersday/mothers_day_poems.shtml

Happy Mothers Day- Funny Mothers Day Poems

My Mother's On the Phone Again!

My mother's on the phone again.

It makes my mood grow sour,

Waiting for the talk to stop. . .

I think it's been an hour.

My mother's on the phone again.

Will she get off? No way!

It's either Gramma or Aunt Kit. . . .

I think it's been a day.

My mother's on the phone again.

I talk, but she won't hear.

She said, "Just one more minute, Hon'." . . .

I think it's been a year.

She hangs it up, gives me a hug.

We start to talk and then . . .

I hear a ring. It's not . . .

Oh, no! She's on the phone again!

Mothers cannot do it all

But surely do they try.

Mothers hear the angel's call,

To comfort all who cry.

Mothers for themselves may fall,

For others they will fly.

Mother's bear the weight of all,

For their children, they would die.

A Mother's gift extends beyond

All bounds of time and space.

Her lovingness and nurturing

Make Earth a peaceful place.

Christian Mothers Day Poems

Christian Poems about MotherBy M.S.LowndWe pray you’ll know God’s loveMore abundant in your lifeAnd know how much you’re valuedAs a Mother and a wifeWe want so much for you to knowWe’ve appreciated youAnd pray you’ll have a wonderful dayIn all that you may doMother's Day PoemChristian VerseBy Lachelle B. RansomMothers are special peopleGod knew that from the startThat's why he created them in His own image and to them gave the biggest heart. She's able to heal our hurts with only a kiss and hugShe's able to cook breakfast, lunch, and dinner and is never slow as a slug.Mothers are special peopleGod knew they'd always beHe created them to do so much that involves you and me.She has to be a teacher to teach us what we need to knowShe has to be a taxi driver to get us where we need to go.Mothers are special peopleGod knew His work was completeWhen He created someone that could do SOOO much on her own two feet. She is a Christian on Him she dependsShe displays the fruit of the Spirit and a helping hand she is willing to lend.Mothers are special peopleGod tells me so each dayFor if it weren't for Him I wouldn't be one today.TwilightChristian poem By Winifred Sackville Stoner, Jr.Of all the hours of day or nightGive me the twilight hour,When little birds hide out of sightAnd every sylvan bowerIs filled with their sweet good night song,While darkness creeps apaceO'er all the bright blue sky alongAnd hides the sun's gold face. That is the hour when Mother dearSays, "Come, sweetheart," to me,"And of the earth's great heroes hearWhile sitting on my knee."Upon her arm I rest my handAnd wondrous stories hear,Until it's time to go to bed,Tucked in by Mother dear.Godmothers Aren't Fairies in a TaleBy Nicholas GordonGodmothers aren't fairies in a tale,Offering a world that cannot be.Demand of them glass slippers and they fail,More likely to do favors naturally. On them you can depend for a relation:They offer gifts and guidance with a kiss.Having taken on the obligation,Each freely out of love gives what she is.Real godmothers have no wands or wings,So they must work with wisdom, love, and things.
