Living Room Redo details

Hi Everyone

Thank You all so much for your

wonderful comments about our Living Room redo

I adore each and every one of you and

{Love}

to read all of your sweet comments

Many of you wanted to know some details....

This picture above is the inspiration for our living room

it hangs on the side wall of the fireplace

Putting in French doors opened up the room

to the outside and made the

biggest change to the space

{love}

how the paint turned out

I originally wanted to

paint the entire room white

but the room gets a lot of light

(south facing room)

so we painted the high beamed

ceilings and all of the trim work white

and painted the walls crab apple by Ralph Lauren

we used a great gloss white paint from

Ralph Lauren called

Design Studio White

My goal is to make this home feel like a

East Coast Martha's vineyard cottage

The curtains and rods are from Pier One

they were the perfect color, cheap and even lined

Just bought painters drop cloths

to make curtains with

for a little change

another project

I had the white denim slip covers made

{ LOVE }

how durable they are

and cheaper than new couches

If you look at pictures of

Victorian rooms

they always had ferns and plants

They add such a wonderful color and romance to the room

and

help to bring the outside

~inside~

We also removed the old white berber carpet

and added tile

easier to keep clean

Put in the ceiling fan, It gets hot in the summer

I am still searching for the right chandy

and I am yearning to paint the old hardwood floors white !

I am not sure if a room is ever done.

I am off to work on the lace patio umbrella

it is turning out GREAT

Thank You so much for

your votes for Circle of Moms!!

I am so Grateful

you can vote on my side bar
