From Denny: Colbert was as shocked and awed as everyone else at White House press reporter Helen Thomas, almost 90 years old, on her controversial anti-Jew comments. So, Colbert, compassionate guy that he is, along with his nose stuck up into everyone's personal business for the sake of good comedy, took some time to counsel Helen. Colbert gave many salient suggestions as to how the former White House scribe might effectively redeem herself and her excellent legacy quickly fading from view after this recent stupidity.

"What were you thinking? You don't just blurt out racially charged comments on camera," Colbert exclaimed, before flashing pictures of Glenn Beck, Rush Limbaugh, and others, adding, "You do it on your radio show."

After all, the Big Business multinational company reasons, who cares about things that swim in the ocean? We can scoop up the oil and sell it for salad dressing to the food companies. Who's going to know the difference? The real question dogging BP is why is our stock still nose-diving down and off the cliff? We wonder why our shareholders have no confidence in us any more. Colbert asks us, "Have you considered abhorring him? How about detesting him? Would it kill you to loathe the guy a little? Come on, people, let's get a little creative here."
